Priva Training Day

Friday saw the running of the Priva Training Day with Priva's very own Peter Mos. Prior to this day Peter had been busy visiting growers and advising them about their Priva systems.

The training day saw 11 growers from Western Australia, Victoria, New South Wales and Queesnland all converge on our Cranbourne site to participate in the training session. The session also allowed the growers to question Peter on their own particular issues and system settings, which was a very useful exercise.

Peter Mos with a captive audience!

Peter spent some considerable time talking about ventilation - with the reality being that this is the greenhouse operation that is carried out every day - and gaining a good understanding of the P band concept provided plenty of discussion!

Irrigation and the use of shade screens were also hot topics, and Peter's intimate knowledge of the Priva systems gave many growers some new and exciting ideas to try out on their climate management computers when they return home.

The day concluded at around 5.00pm and all of the participants were agreed that it was both a dynamic and instructive session.

Chisholm and Priva are now committed to providing an ongoing commitment to more of this style of training both at the National Precision Growing Centre and also on site at grower's establishments.

Training the trainer!

Priva expert Peter Mos is currently in Australia delivering climate advice to growers, and he will also be delivering a seminar to growers at our Cranbourne campus on Friday the 19th of April.

As part of Priva's ongoing support for Chisholm, Peter spent Thursday with Chisholm trainer Tony Bundock, to advise him of the latest develoments in Priva technology.

Tony is now a Priva endorsed trainer and is able to deliver Priva training and consultancy either at the Cranbourne campus or onsite for growers. This now means that growers with Priva Maximiser, Integro / Connext and PrivAssist have a dedicated trainer in Australia who can assist with growers individual or organisational training needs.

 Tony Bundock and Peter Mos

Tomorrow (Friday) Peter will be delivering a specialised training course to growers on more advanced use of their Priva systems. This course has been highly sought after and we have growers attending from Western Australia, New South Wales, Victoria, and New Zealand.

We'll post more details tomorrow!

Changing your Priva system for the end of Day Light Savings

For those of you with Priva climate control systems, you will have needed to change the computer clock this weekend to align with the end of Daylight savings. Just in case you have struggled with these settings, here is some advice on how to achieve this:-

"In the computer and Priva Office, there are some tips and tricks. This is a tip for changing time of the clock in the Integro or Connext by changing winter to summer and reverse.

We have attached a link to a movie and explanation of the S2-command. In Priva Office a grower can choose to follow the time change. The movie shows how to connect the computer to the PC with Priva Office. The movie only changes the time clock of the computer. The starting times of periods in the controls stay on the already installed time. Some growers want this, but if a grower also wants to move all his controls with one hour, he can use the S2 Command from the terminal (monochrome or from Priva Office Terminal)."
